“On April 23rd, Beijing Time, the NBA playoffs continued with the second round between the New York Knicks and the Philadelphia 76ers at Madison Square Garden. In a nail-biting showdown, the Knicks narrowly edged past the 76ers with a score of 104-101, taking a 2-0 lead in the series.

For the Knicks, Julius Randle contributed 24 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists, while Mitchell Robinson added 21 points and 15 rebounds, and Immanuel Quickley scored 19 points. Meanwhile, for the 76ers, Joel Embiid delivered 34 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists, accompanied by Tobias Harris with 35 points and 8 rebounds, and Tyrese Maxey with 10 assists.

The game kicked off with an impressive start from the 76ers, led by Maxey’s three-pointers, securing a 9-0 lead. Embiid’s dominant performance further extended their lead, ending the first quarter with a score of 25-18 in favor of the 76ers.

In the second quarter, Maxey continued to shine with another three-pointer, widening the gap to 32-22. However, the Knicks fought back, narrowing the deficit with contributions from Hart and McBride. Despite the Knicks’ efforts, the 76ers maintained their lead, finishing the first half with a score of 53-49.

The third quarter saw a resilient Knicks team, rallying to tie the game at 55-55. Both teams exchanged leads in a closely contested period. With a late surge, the Knicks secured a 77-72 lead at the end of the third quarter.

In the final quarter, the 76ers, led by Maxey and Embiid, closed the gap to just one point. However, clutch three-pointers from Bogdanovic helped the Knicks extend their lead once again. Despite a late rally from the 76ers, including five consecutive points from Maxey, it was not enough to overcome the Knicks’ resilience. The Knicks ultimately clinched a hard-fought victory, winning 104-101 in the final seconds.
